Bentley and Vertu are making a splash together at the 2015 Goodwood Festival of Speed. The two British companies have debuted the second Vertu handset for Bentley at the ongoing annual hill climb featuring historic motor racing vehicles held in the grounds of Goodwood House,West Sussex, England. The new Vertu Signature for Bentley is based on the luxury phone maker’s premium range and inspired by Bentley Mulsanne Speed, the renowned car maker’s pinnacle model.
Mulsanne Speed can be seen in form of the carbon fiber pillow on the Signature which shares a similar carbon weave design pattern to that on the car as well as the polished stainless steel sides which offer a tactile knurled finish reminiscent of Bentley control knobs. Moreover, the Beluga Black calf leather which encases the handset is sourced from the same tannery used by the world-leading automotive company, as is the phone case which is also embellished with a Bentley Flying B Titanium emblem.
Though not a smartphone, the classic feature phone will also boast of the iconic Bentley Flying B logo inscribed on the front, adorning the sapphire face piece below the key pad. More Bentley-ness can be seen in form of the software power-up graphics and a selection of Bentley images as exclusive wallpapers.
Vertu Signature for Bentley can also be customized by using the Vertu Made to Order online configurator which enables customers to match their phone and case to their Bentley car leather and stitching or create something of their own design from 2,300 possible combinations.
Sporting a base price of about $22,880, the Signature for Bentley ownership includes one year’s complimentary access to Vertu Concierge offered by a dedicated Lifestyle manager, providing expert assistance designed to meet your every need, 24 hours a day.
Vertu Signature for Bentley will be on display at a number of key 2015 events, including the Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance in California in August. Though it will be officially launched on September 18, 2015, it will be available for pre-order from 25th of June, 2015.
