This one is for the high jewellery lovers. Paris Haute Couture Week is known for the unveiling of the latest high jewellery collections of the world’s most prestigious jewellery houses.
Here are some of our favourite pieces.
Our favourite pieces are from Italian high jewellery maker Giampiero Bodino’s Mediterranea collection, which is inspired by Mediterranean summers and is full of pieces that speak of passion, romance, the ocean and long summer nights. A pure delight for the eyes.
Van Cleef & Arpels featured a highly whimsical collection titled Le Secret. It is fun and full of colour and surprises. A lot of the collection’s pieces can be transformed and have secret messages or hidden treasures in them. We absolutely love the playfulness of this collection.
We are also loving Dior’s Dior a Versailles, Cote Jardins collection inspired by the gardens of Versaille. The colourful floral pieces feature yellow and pink sapphires, diamonds, emeralds, rubies, paraiba-type tourmalines, rock crystals and black opals.
Chanel’s Flying Cloud high jewellery collection has a nautical theme, paying homage to Coco Chane’s French Riviera holiday home. It is named after the Duke of Westminster’s yacht.The collection feature loosely tied braids of diamonds formed like a sailor’s knot.
Chaumet’s Chaumet est use Fete collection is an ode to musical venues around the world. Using rubies, emeralds and gemstones each venues peculiar character is represented in the pieces.
Boucheron’s Hiver Imperial collection is inspired by Russian Winters and features pearls, diamonds, rock crystals and a 78.33-carat Santa Maria Aquamarine.
DeBeers high jewellery collection was inspired by the lotus flower and features a versatility of rough and polished diamonds in various colours.
Other pieces that caught our eye are from Piaget’s sunlight journey collection.
