French fashion house, Louis Vuitton, has released the campaign for its Fall/Winter 2020 collection, and it is a dreamlike mix of blue skies, white clouds and edgy fashion.
Dubbed ‘Heaven on Earth,’ this new campaign sees menswear Artistic Director, Virgil Abloh tapping into an imaginative alternate universe. Abloh had introduced the collection with the same name in January, and its utopian concept and surreal expression are vividly mirrored in the campaign captured by prolific photographer, Tim Walker.
Abloh continues to explore his premise of boyhood- seeing the world through the unspoiled eyes of a child- while using clouds, which evade constraint, territory, and possession as a symbol of freedom, unity, and peace.
The collection itself features different pieces from bomber jackets and ruffled shirts, purses and bags, to high top sneakers and bracelets in royal blue, earthy brown and sparkly accents. But it also paints traditional menswear in a new light, infusing everyday wear with modern patterns and colours, including bright pink.
